Going for Gold

I love watching the Olympics. As a kid I fantasized about becoming one of the best skaters, gymnasts, swimmers, skiers…standing alongside fellow Olympic heroes. And hearing Jim McKay introduce the Wide World of Sports with his famous, “…the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat” still makes my heart palpitate.

I’m long past being “prime” in anything, but dreaming is ageless. During this Olympics I’m still having visions of standing on a platform wrapped in gold.
