I too used to live downtown, but in the ‘tender nob’ and was finally tired of the drunken shrieks of Academy Art students. I also have moved to Maternal Hill, I mean, Bernal Hill and we really like it here. It’s not as overly crowded and actually has a neighborhood vibe to it. Plus, we’ll be neighbors! Bernal Hill park is also really great to walk around for exercise and dog admiring. Welcome to the ‘hood, if you decide to take the leap. I also like Rachel Comey, which makes sense.
How long have you lived there? It’s adorable; I’ve always loved the restaurants and shops on Cortland — The Liberty Cafe was always a favorite. Such a European village vibe there. Only issue, and it’s big: I love life without a car, and public transit in and out is a drag. The hunt continues! xoxo
We are Blank Stare, Blink. Two wives, mothers, sisters, daughters of coaches, products of public schools and suburban homes, women of a certain age who blog about our lives as lovers of fashion and style, and haters of anyone or anything that stands in our way of feeling good about who we truly are, which these days happens to be Father Time – to whom we give the finger!
