Ding Dong

left to right: Anna Piaggi, John Galliano, and Lynne Yaeger

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Like great fashion, it’s pure fantasy. For some, this fantasy is celebrated every day. Think Lynne Yaeger, Anna Piaggi, and, whispered side-mouthed, John Galliano. For others it’s just a fleeting day and onto Thanksgiving.

At 4 I was Cher. At age 6 a Butterfly Catcher. At 11 a she-devil. I dress up every year and obsess about the details. I love it. This year I’m making my kid’s dreams come true and going as, and looking like, a mom.

left: Not a wig; right: Complete mom ensemble

For those of you inspired to celebrate fantasy more than one time a year, here’s some fodder.

1. Hoorsenbahs ring, 2. Ileana Makri skull ring, 3. Walter Van Beirendonck sunglasses, 4. The Row Roebling stretch wool gown, 5. Irene Neuwirth necklace, 6. Givenchy bag, 7. Zoraide boots, 8. Martin Margiela spiderweb shrug

Thanks so much! Ha, we are slowly but surely adding more ways to follow and read us, assuming anyone wants to follow or read us. Right now we are planning to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please check back. Happy Thanksgiving.
