A Gemini’s Wrap Up
Since Paula gave you her favorites, I thought I’d share mine. Please keep in mind that I’m a Gemini through and through, which means I have two distinct personalities and sometimes many more. They’ll all reveal themselves as you scroll down and I show you some of my favorites from the just wrapped Fall 2012 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Usually I find the likes of Helmut Lang most appealing day to day. It’s easy to put on, easy to wear, and always gives good attitude and I don’t have to think about it. If I could get the whole Fall 2012 collection from Nicole and Michael Colovos I would. Here are eight looks I love and want. (see full collection here)
Lately though, I have been dying over and loving bright colors and fantastically bold patterns. And I would argue that no one does it better than Duro Olowu. Next fall when I’m feeling playful and supremely confident and want to walk around the streets of New York with a spring in my step, it would be awesome to be wearing one of these favorites from Duro Olowu. He’s a master at mixing what you think shouldn’t go together and serving it up to delicious perfection. (see full collection here)
Duro Olowu feels so perfectly day to me, but, for night, when I want to be slightly more understated and still want to do color and prints, I’ll go right to Preen. I mean come on, look at that sophistication. (see full collection here)
And just like a Gemini, ultimately, I will tire of all the above and everything else, and I will want to start at the beginning again. Perfectly precise shapes and structure, and that is, of course, Francisco Costa’s Calvin Klein.
